Here’s a Great article by Yimby!

#1159

“Since construction passed the 13th floor, the rate of rise has increased from two floors per month to three. At this pace, steel will reach the 34th floor by the end of 2018, and the 58th floor will be reached by August 2019.
Façade installation is expected to start this October”

Great pics Street!

Seeing this rise makes me want the hyatt gone more and more. At the same time I hope its replacement wouldn’t block views of the Chrysler Building

#1162

I agree about the Hyatt. There are worse parcels in Midtown that I’d like to see redeveloped first, but considering how Donald Chump raped the gorgeous old building that was there, I detest the Hyatt. Milstein did the same thing with his tower on Madison and 43rd.

#1163

I mean, at least it wasn’t demolished, maybe some day someone could try and refurbish it again?
I don’t think it will be redevelloped any time soon, it must be doing great.

#1164

I wish, but that’s not the American way.

#1168

Yes, it is! I looked earlier and I couldn’t find the camera

#1169

Was in a car, best picture I could get

#1170

Monstrous! Can’t wait to see this pop out in the skyline as it rises

#1171

It would be nice if Vision42 were implemented, and 42nd St had very wide, landscaped sidewalks.
