30 HY = 100,000 TONS of structural steel (this includes all the steel in the massive retail base/mall so maybe really two buildings, not sure how this is counted)
1 VANDY = 26,500 TONS of structural steel
1 WTC = 45,000 TONS of structural steel
1 ESB = 57,000 TONS of structural steel

1 Vanderbilt is a huge building, but 30 HY is crazy

Ima try to stop by. Going to the city this afternoon and staying over a friends pad on UES. Should be able to snap a lot of shots today. :beers:

#1141

When we thought the monoliths wouldn’t rise as slender towers were the new trend…

#1142

Great info, 30 Hudson is a true goliath. I’m surprised the ESB has more steel than 1 WTC. It’ll be interesting to see how much steel 50 Hudson will have, its not going to be as tall but definitely will be another goliath.

#1143

the retail is around 12000 tons, but thats in addition to the 100,000

That setback is at 302 feet, so the tower should be close to 400 feet tall

#1147

Jeez. This is growing pretty quick.

I love it! :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

#1148

I like my towers like this: Thicc

#1149

Thicker than a bowl of oatmeal :ok_hand: :ok_hand:

#1150
