That last image has a great view of the north Metropolitan Life tower, which was never completed due to the Great Depression. Anyone know what the status of the air rights is for that plot (which spans an entire block from east to west)? It would be amazing to see the tower rise above where it is presently, especially if stone was used for cladding rather than glass.
This is becoming one of the most interesting skyscraper clusters in the city (from 22nd-29th), but I wish that black rectangle (from which the photo was taken) was removed for something better.
