I am madly in love with the exterior facade here! Would someone please get some fresh shots?

#90

Forgot I was there this week.

#91

Actually blends in well with the church, love the look for the area

#92

Oh my! LOOK AT THAT FACADE!!!

An unexpected and unobtrusive gem. I like the base and the tower portions; its timeless

#95

If this had been built on an empty lot or replaced some low rise junk, I would love it too.

But knowing what was torn down for this, it will always put a bad taste in my mouth

A good point. How quickly I forgot.

As nice as the historic facade was we have to take the good with the bad. 1 Vandy also replaced some 100-year-old buildings with very attractive detailing and 242 W53rd replaced the Roseland Ballroom.

Personally Iā€™d like to see more landmarking, but on the condition that landmarked buildings may sell all of their building rights, not just their air rights. The additional revenue can help keep the old buildings from deteriorating while encouraging development in prime areas.
