Time Warner to evaluate Hudson Yards plans due to AT&T merger

The company acquired about 1.5 million square feet of office space in the lower-to-mid section of the tower, or about 58 percent of the 2.6 million-square-foot skyscraper.

How Time Warner chooses to utilize the space will have no material impact on the development, said Joanna Rose, a spokeswoman for Related Cos, one of the site’s developers.

At this point, I’d be surprised if the merger even happens given the opposition from regulators and investors.

We knew you’d ask but, no — Time Warner’s proposed merger with AT&T cannot alter the media giant’s planned move from Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle to 30 Hudson Yards.

The deal to buy 1.6 million square feet is signed and sealed. Time Warner closed on the 30 HY purchase last December.

Related and its partners closed on the $1.3 billion purchase of Time Warner’s current digs at TWC around the same time.

How much Time Warner is paying for its floors at 30 Hudson Yards has not been disclosed.

Enough to act as collateral for loans

The lighting scheme on Moinian’s 42nd St rental looks great!

new crane #3 is being installed now. Then crane 4 will come down. New crane #3 will go until the 45th floor.

Great info, John!

For the love of huge floorplates. One of the trademarks of the Hudson Yards towers are massive bases for the biggest anchor tenants followed by much smaller pricier floors above.

10, 30, 55 (even the one tower version of 50) Hudson yards are the most obvious, but Tishman’s Spiral also has what must be 50,000+ sq ft lower floors. Even the 15 Penn Plaza design has ‘trading floors’ in its base that will probably be repurposed for a media or technology firm if it ever gets built.

On the other hand we see designs like 3 Hudson Blvd and One Manhattan West that don’t setback until very close to the top.

Tower crane #4 has been set up. Also, these towers wont be as visible once the other hudson yards area towers are up.

technically its the new tower crane #3, or, tower crane #6 if we are counting numbers
