From the WTC Progress page on Facebook
I couldn't agree more. Everything about this rebuilding process has been a colossal mess. We're also now stuck with a stacked pile of garbage for Tower 2 which disturbs me because BIG's design in no way deserves to hold the name 2 World Trade Center. If 1 and 2 were built first 3 would probably have been minimally changed. Silverstein also should have just built on spec. This site isn't just any other typical complex. They dumped the money into years of designing these towers and billions on a transportation hub while yes it's beautiful but completely unnecessary. They could have easily came up with a beautiful new PATH station/mall that cost 3 quarters less and put the rest of the money into putting towers back up right away. Almost 2 decades later and the complex is only half finished. It's pathetic at this point.
3 WTC looks a lot shorter from this angle than the renders depict. Not digging that. Still a beautiful tower regardless.
Oh no!! this is going to make that skyline towers again? I don't like it!!! I like better Twin towers before much perfect skyline not this one skyline AWFUL!
Too late for that one buddy
I see ok... I am very curious is 2 WTC going to be 88 storey tower right? but I know I using Wikenpkia that say 81 storey tower I am confused which one is right going to be?
We're all confused. It hasn't really been confirmed yet. After all, Bjarke's design is still listed as a proposal. Foster's is listed as on hold
That's because the foundation for Foster's design has already been built.
On Super Bowl Sunday
These are good shots. Were you in 30 park?
Yes, Good guess!
Big design is from New Yersey more a Twin Tower. And this is New York!!!!!!!
On the website by Larry Silverstein: Have 2WTC - 90 floors https://www.silversteinproperties.com/commercial-office-space-nyc/2-world-trade-center/leasing-availability
Interesting looking at the leased space. Looks like Silverstein is trying to get enough smaller tenants to make this work as opposed to one massive anchor tenant. Hopefully once a certain % is leased or reserved, this will rise. Regarding 2 WTC.
Maybe Silverstein would get more tenants if he lowered his asking rates. Just because it's the WTC doesn't justify his greed.
I think so. There's always room for negotiation. There is a set price that must be met to make a profit, but there's always wiggle room. Need competitive rates for $/sqft.
If competitive rates are what he's looking for, then maybe he should use the Hudson Yards as a reference.
