Its such a shame the junk remains on Madison and 31st. On the other hand, I was admiring the neighboring Hotel Chandler when I realized it had become a homeless shelter.

If the housing emergency is this bad the city needs to up-zone to make conditions even more favorable for development. A 30% FAR bonus for more affordable housing. Something. Anything is better than this.

This is a great filler tower. Nice facade, nice crown. It’s handsome but not flashy. Vinoly’s nearby tower on Fifth is excellent filler as well. I’m happy to see this part of Manhattan add height and density.
